 Eiffel Tower The Eiffel Tower is the most famous landmark of Paris. The 295 meter iron masterpiece was built in 1887-1889. It recently underwent structural renovations and shed about 1,300 tons of its 7,300 tons.
Notre Dame Cathedral  

The Notre Dame Cathedral is considered one of the most beautiful churches in the world and a masterpiece of medieval art. Begun in 1163 and completed with its flying buttresses, it is an excellent example of Gothic architecture.

 

Montmartre  

Place Du Tertre in the Montmartre district was once the public square of the village. Today, the square is crowded with artists displaying their works amid diminutive houses and restaurants.

 

Palace of Versailles The Palace and Gardens of Versailles were built by Le Van and Hardouin-Monsart for Louis XIV. The historical museum in this palace has exhibits depicting French history from the 15th century; the 17th and 18th century rooms house portraits of the royal family and the Court of Versailles.
